DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
This documentary is based on David Leddick’s monumental and definitive work, “The Male Nude,” published in three languages by Taschen. This half-hour documentary can only begin to hint at all that’s covered in the 700-page brick of a book, but I thought it was necessary to offer in video form some of the riches of the seminal work on which the video is based. Pending funding, we will shoot 12 half-hour segments that would cover the subject as it deserves to be covered.
